Technology Budget Resources

Computer counts are based on previous year and are for reference. A request for computer count validation goes out each year prior to invoicing.

Technology Lifecycle Service

If you need to receive an invoice during 2020 for computers or equipment, please ensure procurement request forms are completed, submitted, and acknowledged by WVLS by the end of November 30th.  Please use the Procurement Request Form version 2020.2. 

Due to current circumstances, we will not be able to guarantee a 2020 delivery or deployment schedule for any new orders but we will place them and generate pre-deployment invoices upon request.  For those not concerned about being invoiced during 2020, procurement requests can be submitted any time right up until December 31 and we will order, stage, and coordinate deployment as quickly as circumstances allow. This strategy guide is intended to be a multi-purpose reference. It supports the annually updated Wisconsin Valley Library Service system plan, prescribing mechanisms to meet the goals expressed in that document which imply or expressly demand the need for information technology support. It is also a guide for Information Technology department members, presenting a clear picture of the system’s immediate and long term goals and identifying the means by which to achieve them.

WIFI Hot Spot Update: Sprint vs. Mobile Beacon

There are two options for mobile hot spot services. Mobile Beacon vs. Sprint services. WVLS and Indianhead Federated Library System (IFLS) have three Sprint Moble Hot Spots availabe for your library to test in your community.
