The Fond du Lac Public Library seeks an enthusiastic Youth Services Librarian who is equipped with an even temperament, a wealth of patience, and a great sense of humor – focusing on creating programs and (sneaky) activities to turn recalcitrant teens in grades 6-12 into enthusiastic library users.
Under the Youth Services Coordinator, you will be an invaluable part of a creative and dynamic team that works with kids from birth to age 19 and adults. Youth Services staff focus on all aspects of literacy, with a strong emphasis on early literacy skill building, developing positive lifelong library habits and creating strong connections with library users and area partners.
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) salaried position at $52,603.20 annually. Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, Wisconsin Retirement, and paid time off that includes floating holidays, vacation and sick leave.
An American Library Association (ALA) accredited Master’s Degree and a valid driver’s license is required for this position. Experience working with youth in libraries preferred.
All library employees are expected to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
