Due to a retirement, the Wisconsin Valley Library Service (WVLS) in Wausau, Wisconsin is seeking a full-time Accounting and Human Resources Specialist. Under the general direction of the WVLS Director, this position performs a variety of financial- and human resources-related duties for WVLS including biweekly payroll, accounts payable and receivable functions, and prepares month-end, quarterly and year-end financial statements in accordance with state and federal reporting requirements. WVLS is a federated public library system, located in Wausau, Wisconsin, and provides service to 25 public libraries in its 7-county area.
Qualified applicants must hold an accredited two- or four-year degree in accounting and 2 years of general accounting experience. Experience in use of QuickBooks accounting software and government accounting are desirable but not required. Candidates must possess strong oral and written communication skills, strong initiative, ability to handle multiple projects, ability to work collaboratively with others, and a sense of humor. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel independently.
Compensation range for this position: $24.48 – $28.42 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
