Library Director Job Opening
The Knutson Memorial Library (KML) of Coon Valley, Wisconsin is seeking a creative enthusiastic, community-minded individual for the position of Library Director. The library director is responsible for budgeting, promotion, planning, managing staff and programming.
Daily Duties include:
* Maintaining the library collection, oversight of the annual budget, promoting the library and materials, greeting and assisting patrons, circulation and shelving, directing the summer reading program and related library activities and management.
Library Profile
* Currently the KML has over 1,000 cardholders
* Offers engaging children and adult programs.
* Active and supportive Board of Trustees and Friends of the Library
Status/Qualifications
* 54 post high school credits (half of which must be in liberal arts and sciences. Must be eligible for Wisconsin Grade 3 Library Certification. May be attained within 4 years of hire with 1st course completed within first year of hire. Bachelor’s degree or associate degree, preferred.
* The position available is part-time – a minimum of 24 hours per week/includes evening and Saturdays.
Compensation
* Wages are negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
* Vacation time, sick time and retirement available.
